NOT NECESSARILY THE 1ST AND 3RD THURSDAYS, JUNE 4 - AUGUST 27
6:30PM to 9:00PM
Join us this summer for Season Nine of Waterford River Rhythms at Village Hall Park.
We will have seven shows, June thru August.
Our Mission is: "To continually provide an Upscale Event that will Enhance the Community."
TDS Telecom, Lauer Financial Services, The Cotton Exchange and Fox Valley Veterinary Clinic have once again been gracious enough to be WRR sponsors along with grants received from the Racine Community Foundation and the Runzheimer Foundation. Our shows would not be possible without their support. Please say thank you whenever possible.
Anthony Gomes, #1 Billboard Blues Artist, is a triple threat force as a guitarist, vocalist and songwriter. Blues Music Magazine's editor recently declared that, "Gomes’ formidable guitar chops and authentic singing place him in the forefront of modern blues." This, along with his high-energy shows and dynamic stage presence, make him one of the top draws on the Rock / Blues circuit today. Gomes has headlined concerts in 17 countries and has had the honor of sharing the stage with B.B. King, Buddy Guy, Robert Plant, Joe Bonamassa, Heart, Jonny Lang and Kenny Wayne Shepherd. March 17 of this year brought the release of his latest work, "Electric Field Holler." more on Anthony Gomes
You won't want to miss this old school R&B / Motown group that will have you groovin' before you know what happened! You will experience the young and highly talented vocalist, Alex Croson, the dance driven drummings and vocals of Lee Mayfield, the smooth groove of Claude Hamilton on bass, the widely virtuosic piano plunking of Dennis Clay and the professionally jazz trained, young Alex Maryland on guitar. more on Back to Maryland
Well it's official. With the booking of Cold Sweat I can officially say this will be the year of the horn section. Wisconsin's premier 8 piece show band will definitely get your attention this holiday weekend. Cold Sweat's energy, talent and non-stop fun will infect you until you can't help but join in. All of the individual talent in this band has opened for, performed or recorded with national artists. After seeing these guys at Route 20 Outhouse awhile back, we just had to bust up our horn sections a bit and fit them in. The Rush Tribute Project is an homage to one of the most enduring and influential bands in rock music. Combining skilled musicianship with an exciting performance, RTP brings you the magic of Rush's famous live concerts. Covering all forty-plus years of Rush's amazing career, RTP painstakingly recreates the sound and energy that has made Rush one of the top selling rock bands of all time. This three-piece uses vintage instruments, clothes and sounds to produce a Rush concert experience that is unparalleled for the casual fan as well as the most discerning Rush fan. more on The Rush Tribute Project
With a new EP / CD behind her and a new guitar player, the Jackie Brown Band will be introducing some new originals and some new rockin' covers. Look for a high energy show that will bring everyone to their feet. This will be her ninth appearance at River Rhythms and is typically the largest show of the season. You will definitely want to get here early. more on the Jackie Brown Band
Grab your two-tones cuz you won't be sittin' down for this show. This seventeen piece swing band plays it the way it was meant to be played! Swing Nouveau is a five time WAMI award winning Big Band that will be taking you back to the 30's, 40's and 50's. Cats from all generations will be showing up to cut-a-rug (or in our case, grass) to the hot sounds of this amazing horn section. This all-star Steely Dan tribute collective includes 20 of Dane County's rock and jazz veterans. TNT Sound will provide the professional touch in Sound and Lights again this season. Due to the larger crowds, Tedd has expanded his system once again for us and added very cool digital lighting. Tedd has been working in live audio for 30 years and attended Full Sail recording school. He prefers the challenge of mixing live rather than the studio setting. Tedd has worked with a long list of professional artists, including Mitch Ryder, Spider John Koerner, Phil Keaggy, Larry Norman, Tracy Grammar, Bill Staines, Mike Stone (of Queensryche), Rare Earth, Valerie Smith & Liberty Pike, Allison Brown, Greg Brown and many more. Village Hall Park has never sounded this good or looked this great ! more on TNT Sound
In 2009 the Village of Waterford had a stage built for River Rhythms which eliminated our hefty stage rental fees. We had a say in the design process with criteria being a natural look that would blend into the park. With the awareness that this event brought to the park, numerous non-profits now utilize the park and the stage.
For all the bands doing shows at River Rhythms, our stage was 17ft wide x 13ft deep with a natural turf ramp, steps in the back and steps on the left side.
For the 2015 season, our stage is being expanded to 30ft wide x 20ft deep to accommodate the larger shows.
Ample street parking is available through out the immediate area. You may find yourself walking a couple of blocks, but it's worth it! There is also a municipal parking lot right next door to the fire / police building. It's right across the river from the park, just a short walk across the bridge.
Village Hall Park is very close to our neighbors, so we appreciate your consideration for them. We very much want everyone to enjoy us being there, because it truly is the perfect place to be.
